One of my schools has recently used the NZSTA Hautu tool ( see link) to strengthen  the BOTs governance and increase cultural responsiveness in the school. They are in the beginning stages of their journey. In the gathering evidence stage, they surveyed their Maori students.Survey questions were formed using  Tataiako. In this evidence they found very positive results.

I have reflected on Cheryl's previous post , in particular the part of Te Kotahitanga which talks about examining evidence and will now try to facilitate some deeper inquiry into the evidence using  Te Kotahitanga and the GEPRISP/PSIRPEG model.

I also found other sections of Module 5 , Shadow Coaching in Te Kotahitanga, really powerful and could see a thread of similar theory to the practice analysis coming through.

  1. Hi Trish. What a fantastic resource. It could be a good suggestion for a proposal for PLD with the BOT and school working together and looking at Maori achievement and the targets of the school's strategic plan & charter.
